Since the first FIFA World Cup in 1930, art and design has been the driving force to promote, identify and celebrate the game of football. Creativity has become a staple of the world’s largest sporting event, producing era-defining poster art throughout the hosting countries and cities. Some personal favorites include: Joan Miró – 1982 / Peter Max – 1994 / Paul Dale – 2010.
It is due to this creative tradition that I am honored to represent the US as one of 12 artists from 12 different countries, creating art for the 2014 FIFA World Cup, and a special global promotion through McDonald’s.
